授業概要 By introducing the students to classroom English, students will be able to improve English learners’ outcomes in secondary school classes.
授業のねらい・到達目標 This class will build upon the concepts covered in the third-year TESOL class. (A-3-3、A-4-3)
Students will be able to gain confidence using English as a medium of instruction in the language classroom.(A-3-3、A-4-3)

この科目は文理学部(学士(文学))のディプロマポリシーDP3、DP4、及び、カリキュラムポリシーCP3、CP4、に対応している。
A-3-3言語現象や歴史的事象を既存の知識にとらわれることなく, 語学的根拠や批評理論に基づいて批判的, 論理的に考察し, 説明することができる。
A-4-3英語学・英語圏文学に潜む問題を発見し, 専門的知識に基づいて解決案を作成できる。
授業の形式 演習
授業の方法 Students will participate in lectures, discussions, viewing of video lessons, and guided journaling on the benefits of using classroom English. Students themselves will create and carry out micro English lessons, and evaluate their classmates’ teaching performances. Feedback will be given upon completion of each task.

For students who cannot attend in- person classes:
Students who live abroad and are far away from the campus. Also, students who are permitted by CHS or departments they belong to, or students who are permitted by class teachers- please refer to our Blackboard page for all information and assignments.
Students who cannot attend in person will be required to provide recordings of speeches.

参考書 使用しない
成績評価の方法及び基準 レポート:Reflective Journal(20%)、授業内テスト:Midterm and term end exams(40%)、授業参画度:Participation(15%)、Micro teaching lessons(25%)
Students’ participation will be measured by discussions in each class.
“In-class examination” will be measured by a mid- and term-end exam.

対⾯授業に参加できない場合の条件を満たし遠隔で参加した場合、課題の提出によって評価する。
小テストや授業内試験を受けられない場合、Blackboardを介した課題提出によって評価する。期日については都度、Blackboardで告知する。
