授業概要 | The aim of this course is to help students improve their English communication. This will range from individual presentation skills to those required for group work. The focus of class time will be spent on opportunities for speaking and listening, with time also being given to project preparation. Units will be divided across two weeks, with the second week having a greater focus on communication activities and project work. Students will be asked to participate in group discussion and decision-making activities based on the themes introduced in class. However, to support student progress, reviewing vocabulary and grammar topics will be required homework activities. Furthermore, students will be supplied with digital flashcards (Anki mobile flashcards) for each unit. Completion of this course will equip students with communicative English language skills which can be leveraged in casual, academic, and business settings. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | 聞く・話すための基礎的なコミュニケーション能⼒を向上させることをねらいとします。 ・英語を聞いて、おおよその内容を理解できる。(A-2-1、A-3-1、A-6-1) ・⾃分が相⼿に伝えようとすることを英語で即座 に表現できる。(A-2-1、A-3-1、A-6-1) この科⽬は⽂理学部のDP及びCPの2, 3, 6 に対応している。 |

履修条件 | 英語1・2︓ ①英語 習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習 熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、外国語教育センターで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」(前期)と「英語2」(後期)は同⼀教員による同⼀時限のク ラスを履修すること。 ④卒業 に必要な外国語科⽬として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科⽬を履修すること。 |

成績評価の方法及び基準 | レポート:Presentation 1 (15%) Group Project (15%)(30%)、授業内テスト:Speaking test (20%); Grammar and vocabulary test (10%)(30%)、授業参画度:Class participation (30%)(30%)、Reviews 1 and 2 (10%)(10%) A score of 60% is needed to pass this course. 総計 60%以上を合格とする Students' class participation will be measured by a combination of attitude, attendance, homework completion, and preparedness. 対⾯授業に参加できない場合の条件を満たし遠隔で参加した場合、課題の提出によって評価する。 小テストや授業内試験を受けられない場合、Blackboardを介した課題提出によって評価する。期日については都度、Blackboardで告知する。 |
