授業概要 | In this course, students will continue to develop the skills needed to express their opinions, knowledge, and experience in English in both writing and speaking assignments. Students will study four kinds of sentences, paragraph writing, critical thinking skills, discussion skills, and presentation skills in English. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | The goal of this course is to improve students overall English fluency in both spoken and written forms. Students will develop speaking skills by discussing issues in pairs or groups and by making presentations about topics of personal interest. Students are encouraged to express their opinions and ideas clearly with confidence in writing and reading assignments.(A-2-1、A-3-1、A-6-1) この科目は文理学部のディプロマポリシーDP2、DP3、DP6、及び、カリキュラムポリシーCP2、CP3、CP6、に対応している。 |
授業の方法 | 演習 Students will study 4 units in the textbook in the second semester. As each unit is completed, students will discuss the topics introduced in the unit with a partner or in small groups. Students will practice writing sentences and paragraphs and giving presentations with peer feedback. There will also be periodic quizzes on the textbook content. Students will give a short presentation at the end of the term. Students are expected to complete 1 hour of homework each week to prepare for the next class. Feedback on submitted assignments and quizzes will be given at the beginning of the next class and in Google Classroom. 遠隔での参加を認める要件: 「⽇本に⼊国できない留学⽣,遠⽅に居住している学⽣で事前に学部(学科)から許可された者。または事前に授業担当教員に許可された者。」 代替措置: Blackboard に配信する課題を提出する。そのほか詳しいことは状況に応じて別途指示する。 |

成績評価の方法及び基準 | レポート:Weekly homework; writing assignments(30%)、授業内テスト:Quizzes: Units 1-2; Units 3-4(30%)、授業参画度:Active participation in English (20%)、Final presentation(20%) More than three unexcused absences will seriously affect your final grade. 対⾯授業に参加できない場合の条件を満たし遠隔で参加した場合、課題の提出によって評価する。 小テストや授業内試験を受けられない場合、Blackboardを介した課題提出によって評価する。期日については都度、Blackboardで告知する。 |
