授業概要 | Introduction to the regional geography of Japan |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | This course is intended to provide a geographical overview of Japan to those who are unfamiliar with Japan's regional geography. An overall picture will be presented by looking at the historical, cultural, economic, and social features. Students may be able to acquire the following knowledge and skill: geographic way of thinking, geographic features of Japan, geographic issues to be solved, and Japan and Japanese in globalization. この科目は日本大学教育憲章ルーブリック(A-1-1、A-2-1)に対応しています。 Students may acquire geographic way of thinking and geographic methods (A-1-1). Students may understand regional characteristics of Japan and the overall picture of Japan (A-2-1). Students may be able to think locally and globally (A-1-1). この科目は文理学部(学士(地理学)のDP及びCPDP1, DP2, CP1, CP2に対応しています。 |
授業の方法 | 授業の形式:【講義】 Lectures are given in the classroom and lecture materials are provided via Blackboard. A short assignment is given after each lecture. Based on the assignment, the topic is discussed at the beginning of the following week's lecture. A research paper on a selected topic needs to be completed by the end of the semester. The student who cannot attend face-to-face lectures is supposed to study by himself using lecture materials provided via Blackboard. Questions may be answered by e-mail. |
