| 授業概要 | This English 2 course, “Presenting Different Opinions: Part II," is designed to help students improve reading, listening, writing, and presentation skills. Each unit is divided into two main parts. The first part introduces the unit's topic through a short reading passage, vocabulary and comprehension exercises, and listening activities. The second part of each unit is a step-by-step guide to making a successful presentation or analyzing academic paragraphs and essays. Students will deliver their presentations in class or online and listen to the presentations of classmates. |
| 授業のねらい・到達目標 | The goal of this course is to give students opportunities to think about and express their opinions in written reports and in presentations on a wide variety of timely topics. Students will also study basic paragraph and essay structures and practice how to write a logically organized paragraph and how to analyze several essay samples. These writing skills will help students plan, write, and deliver in-class presentations. Students will gain more confidence in expressing opinions and ideas in English. この科目は文理学部のDP及びCPの2, 3, 6 に対応している。 |
| 授業の方法 | 演習 Active participation is essential. Students will work in pairs and in groups and give presentations based on topics of personal interest. Students are expected to complete 1 hour of homework each week to prepare for the next class. Students will submit assignments and receive feedback through Google Classroom. This course will be fun and exciting with the help of enthusiastic students who want to learn from each other and are committed to improving their English skills. |
| 履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、外国語教育センターで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」（前期）と「英語2」（後期）は同一教員による同一時限のクラスを履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |
