授業テーマ	The students will write a thesis on a topic of English literature or culture in order to graduate.
授業のねらい・到達目標	To write a 25-page graduation thesis, plus a Works Cited list, in understandable English on any aspect of Western culture. The entire defence must be conducted in comprehensible English.
授業の方法	Students will attend class to review the work they accomplished throughout the previous week, to continue it, and be assigned what to do for the following class.
事前学修・事後学修，授業計画コメント	While writing every day for homework, students must also be constantly conducting research on their topics, reading what they have found, and writing notes about the content read in order to include in-text citations with paraphrases, summaries, and/or quotes.

Other relevant books depend on each student's topic. Please buy the books BEFORE the first class.
成績評価の方法及び基準	Attendance, Participation, & Homework (On time and participating = 1% / class. Late, leave early, sleeping, phone, Japanese, not participating, no homework = 0%)(28%)、25-page graduation thesis, plus Works Cited list (-10% for every day that it is late.)(72%)
