By the end of this course students are expected to be able to engage in non-technical interactions in English using proper syntax; build confidence to deliver short to medium length presentations in English, and develop reading and speaking strategies for discussion of general social issues.

Reading tasks will be assigned for every class and students will be expected to become familiar with the vocabulary of the passages in the textbook. Classes will be conducted in English.
