授業テーマ This class is designed as an introduction to academic writing.
授業のねらい・到達目標 This course is desinged to introduce academic writing by instructing students in the use of Microsoft Word. Next students will learn how to develop academic writing skills from sentences and then paragraphs.
授業の方法 Each unit of tne texp presents vital information for developing academic writing. also the teacher wil lecture and give hte students material on the topin being covered.There will be a review at the begining of each class on what was accomplished in the previous class.
履修条件 This class is for all students.
・同一教員・同一時限で前期と後期を対にして履修すること。
・後期のみの受講希望者も必ず「前期」の初回授業に参加し、履修の許可を得た上で、後期に履修登録すること。前期の初回授業時に受講希望者が定員を超過した場合、人数調整をする。

授業計画
1 Review chapter 3 and write a paragraph about your favorite place.
2 Review chapter 4 and write a paragraph about a person you respect.
3 Review chapter 5 and write a paragraph about a trend.
4 Use discusions to brainstorm and write a paragraph about options.
5 Develop paragraphs that explain cause and efect.
6 Use word map to explain a problem. Write a paragraph about an explanation and excuce.
7 Express personal feelings. Order support sentences logically.
8 Edit list of ideas. Write about problems.
9 Use time expressions. Learn to understand parts of a narrative.
10 Order the events of a narrative.Write a paragraph about an interesting experience.
11 Brainstorm a list of doubts. Organize a comparison paragraph.
12 Compare different situations. Write a paragraph about the changes in your life.
13 Write about cause and effect. Use interview brainstorming.
14 How to begine a paragraph with a queston.
15 Write a paragraph ofyour choice.
