授業テーマ Surveying and appreciating short fiction from America.
授業のねらい・到達目標 Students will become familiar with some of American literature’s most noted short novels, and improve their abilities in reading, interpreting, and criticizing literary texts, giving presentations, and essay writing.
授業の方法 Students will read 20-30 pages per week, and complete homework tasks that will aid them in understanding the language, themes, and issues that are key to the texts. In class, students will listen to short lectures, participate in discussions, complete individual and group assignments, and give short presentations.
