授業テーマ The focus of this course is on the experiences of a foreigner who is living, studying and working in Japan. It is a four-skills development course for Japanese young adults at the pre-intermediate level that works well with both small and large classes. Course activities include questionnaires, interview, group talk, let’s talk, and writing exercises.
授業のねらい・到達目標 Course goals:
This course is designed to help students gain confidence to converse naturally in English.The range of topics covered is quite broad and includes much of what the young people talk about these days.

Learning objectives:
It should enable young adults to express their opinions in small or large groups, talk about their personal interests, and grow in their ability and confidence to communicate in English.

Categories:
(1) Participation and performance in classroom activities (30%); (2) Homework assignments (30%); (3) Testing and assessment, such as in-class tests, quizzes, and presentation (40%).

Criteria:
Students will need to qualify in each of the categories listed above – (1) participation and performance in class activities, (2) successful completion of homework, (3) in-class tests, quizzes, and presentation.

To pass in this course, attendance is mandatory. A student who has more than five absences is disqualified. You cannot be late. Three late arrivals mean one absence.
