授業のねらい・到達目標 | This semester focuses on the study and analysis of English dialects around the world. Human language is constantly changing, which causes languages to become different. In this semester, we will analyze a number of dialects and write down what we discover about them. A special section on Scots and Scottish Gaelic will be given. |
授業の方法 | The aim of the course is to give the students real language examples of present day English social and geographical dialects. A secondary goal is to observe how several Indo-European language systems function phonologically, morphologically and grammatically. |
