授業テーマ Preparation and implementation of individual oral presentations in English by groups
授業のねらい・到達目標 Students will practice and improve basic presentation techniques, skills, and speech.
授業の方法 One week the class will be introduced to a topic on which to base a presentation. Students will form groups to work up a presenation that will be made the following week.

Writing will not be emphasized in class. Textbook is for reference of topics and their organization.

成績評価の方法及び基準 平常点(25%)、授業参画度(25%)、Effort shown in each class(25%)、Improvement in work or effort throughout the semester(25%)
As this is an “oral” class, grades will not be based on written tests or reports but on attendance and participation. There is no “homework” although students may feel the need to research certain topics in advance. Attendance and conduct in class will amount to 50% of semester evaluation. The other 50% will be based on work and conduct in each class and overall improvement of same throughout the semester.
オフィスアワー I will be available before (in the teachers lounge) and after class either in the classroom.
備考 This class will focus on making various forms of presentations. Language as such will not be emphasized but depending on need, may be reviewed.
