授業テーマ	Gaining practice and confidence in writing a variety of forms.
授業のねらい・到達目標	This course is designed to give students opportunities to write a variety of different assignments. Students will write summaries and essays. Students will share their work with classmates.
授業の方法	Students will be given a prompt each week for writing. Time will be given to students to write in class, while homework will be to revise writing and to generate ideas for future assignments. We will have a new topic or theme each week. Students will also be asked to discuss their writing, to discuss classmates’ writing, and to offer written feedback.
履修条件	・同一教員・同一時限で前期と後期を対にして履修すること。・後期のみの受講希望者も必ず「前期」の初回授業に参加し、履修の許可を得た上で、後期に履修登録をすること。前期の初回授業時に受講希望者が定員を超過した場合、人数調整をする。

成績評価の方法及び基準	平常点(30%)、レポート(40%)、Homework(30%) Students with 5 unexcused absences will fail the course. Returnee students will be given extra coursework.
