授業テーマ | Students will continue to gain confidence in their ability to understand and express themselves on a variety of topics in English, and improve their oral presentation skills. |

授業のねらい・到達目標 | This course is designed to promote students’ strategic competence. In other words, the students will gain mastery of language strategies to make up for a deficit, which will lead to control in communicative situations. Confirming information, showing interest, and maintaining and developing conversations are some of the strategies which will be included. Situations relevant to the students’ lives like describing objects, talking about future plans and describing recent experiences will be covered. Furthermore, students will improve their ability to give informative presentations on more complex topics. |
授業の方法 | Each language strategy will be taught through progressing from listening for the gist and details, reviewing new words and expressions, examining features of natural pronunciation, memorizing conversations which utilize short-term memory and building longer conversational discourses. Students will organize, write and practice oral presentations through verbal, vocal, and visual cues. |
